I was born and raised on a farm just outside of Sioux Falls, SD, where I developed my passion for animals.   I grew up helping my dad outside at every opportunity.   I have been a CVT for 10 years.  I have a bachelor’s degree from South Dakota State University, Brookings, SD, 1991 in advertising.  Obviously, I decided to “start over” a little bit later in life and go with my first love, which are animals.   I received my Associate of Applied Science Degree in Veterinary Technology in 2000, worked in practice for about a year and then, by answering the phone at my clinic one day, fell into this fabulous teaching position, where I have been ever since.   I am an instructor in the Ridgewater College Veterinary Technology Department.  Teaching  is my passion and the fact that I get to do what I love every day, it’s not a job at all.  It’s a daily adventure.  My family consists of a loving husband, two adorable kids’ ages 5 and 7 and my furry babes, two dogs and a cat.  I enjoy reading, spending time with my family and friends and my passion is teaching.
