Registration Desk
Registration packets including name badges, proceedings booklets, etc can be picked up at the registration desk located on the third floor of the Minneapolis Hilton, Redwing Room. Confirmation notices will not be sent out prior to the convention for mailed registration. The registration desk will be open for at the door registration and registration packet pickup from:

MVMA Wellness Center
Location To Be Announced in the Proceedings Book Convention attendees may have blood drawn for rabies antibody status and total cholesterol at the Wellness Center for a fee. Blood pressure readings will be available at no charge. Results will be sent by mail. Visit the MVMA registration desk for more details. The Wellness Center will be open during the following times:

Enjoy lunch while listening to Rebecca Rose as she discusses Veterinary Technician Specialties. There are now seven Veterinary Technician Specialties with the potential for a few more in the upcoming years. You will find out how to choose which specialty is best for you, the pets you serve and your veterinary practice.
This session is worth one CE credit and there is a $15.00 charge for lunch. Seating is limited. You must preregister if you plan to attend.
WetLabs
Two wet lab sessions this year! Friday, 2:30 to 5:00, 2 hr lab - Troubleshooting Your Anesthestic Equipment and Saturday 8:00am to 12:00pm a 4 hour Dental Radiology lab. Space is limited so be sure to pre-register. See Page 3 and 10 of the Conference booklet for more lab details.

Annual Meeting/Lunch

If you are a member of MAVT, plan on attend our Annual MAVT Meeting and find out what is happening within our organization. We will elect new officers as well as present the award for Technician of the Year. A delicious lunch will be served and door prizes awarded. Pre-registration is required.
End of Convention Event

Join Hypnotist—Dr. Al Snyder for an exciting and entertaining time. With a masterful blend of traditional stage hypnosis and creative material, he will keep you laughing and on the edge of your chairs. Cancellation/Refund Policy
No refunds will be made after January 24, 2010. Refunds will only be made if the registrant has contacted MAVT (Julie Legred, CVT – Convention Chair), in writing requesting reimbursement prior to January 24, 2010. A $10 handling fee will be assessed for all cancellations.

This convention is being held at the Hilton Minneapolis, 1001 Marquette
Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55403. Telephone: 612-376-1000. A block of rooms
have been reserved with a special room rate and will be available until
January 13th, 2010 or until the group block is sold-out, whichever comes
first. Be sure to request the group rate for MVMA/MAVT by using the group code

Directions to the Hilton
From the East:
Take 94 West toward Minneapolis. Take the 11th Street exit and stay in the
right-hand lane. The parking garage entrance is on 11th Street on the right
between 2nd Avenue and Marquette. For valet parking, continue past the
garage entrance to Marquette and turn right. Follow Marquette to the main
hotel entrance.
From the West:
Take 94 East toward Minneapolis. Nearing downtown, take the Hennepin-Lyndale
exit and stay in the left lane. Take a left at the first stop light onto
Dunwoody Blvd. Turn right onto 12th Street. Follow 12th Street to Marquette
Avenue and turn left. Follow Marquette one-and-a-half blocks to the main
hotel entrance for valet parking. For self-parking, follow Marquette past
the Hilton to 10th Street and turn right. Follow 10th Street to 2nd Avenue
and turn right again. Enter the parking garage to your right.
From the North:
Take 35W South to MN-280 South. Merge onto 94 West. On 94 West stay in the
right-hand lane and take the 11th Street exit. Proceed on 11th Street
staying in the right-hand lane. The parking garage entrance is on 11th
Street on the right between 2nd Avenue and Marquette. For valet parking,
continue past the garage to Marquette and turn right. Follow Marquette to
the main hotel entrance.
From the South:
Take 35W North toward Minneapolis. Nearing downtown, follow ‘’Downtown
Exits’’ (#65, a left exit). Take the 11th Street exit. Proceed West on 11th
Street staying in the right-hand lane. The parking garage entrance is on
11th Street on the right between 2nd Avenue and Marquette. For valet
parking, continue past the garage to Marquette and turn right. Follow
Marquette to the main hotel entrance.
From Light Rail stop at 5th St. & Nicollet Mall
Walk South on Nicollet Mall to 10th St. Continue East on 10th St. to
Marquette Ave. The hotel is on the corner of 10th St. & Marquette Ave.
